Gregory W. Piecuch
Greg represents clients in all aspects of real property law, including planning and zoning matters, land use litigation, real estate transactions, title litigation, lease negotiation and litigation, real estate development, condominium and common interest community issues, boundary and easement disputes, tax appeals, mechanic’s liens, and foreclosures. Greg also maintains a commercial law practice, representing businesses and individuals in matters relating to business formation, contract law, commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, and business tort cases. He is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts of Connecticut.
Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After a year in Boston working in the financial services industry, Greg enrolled in the University of Connecticut School of Law, from which he was awarded his Juris Doctor degree in 2002. While in law school, Greg served on the Editorial Board of the Connecticut Law Review. Before founding his own law office, Greg was an associate at a large downtown law firm and a partner at a mid-sized firm in West Hartford.
Greg was raised in Simsbury and has been an active volunteer in his community. He currently serves as a member of the State Elections Enforcement Commission. Over the years, Greg has held other offices, including as a member of the Simsbury Planning Commission, as the Chairman of the Simsbury Zoning Board of Appeals, and as a Justice of the Peace. He also served for over a decade as a director of the non-profit Simsbury Performing Arts Center, Inc., including as its treasurer. An Eagle Scout, Greg has also volunteered his time with Simsbury’s Boy Scout Troop 174, including a term as Troop Committee chairman.
